Just started new gig with a very small company doing local truck load freight. Easy guy to work for, let's me work as much or as little as I want. Nice equipment, clean freight and great shippers and receivers. Mostly all drop and hook work. I've never drop and hooked so many trailers in one month! lol
So much different than OTR and refrigerated warehouses.

It's possible to make as much or more local than Orr, not at every place, let us know how it worked out after a couple of months. Good luck with the new job.

Sadly and unfortunately, there are people who will walk into a work place, or onto a job site, and try to get hired on at the expense of another employee already working there.

In the past, there have been job seekers who tried this disgusting tactic at my place of employment. By the GRACE OF GOD, the store manager sees through this and firmly "asks" them to leave. THANK GOD, I, along with the other employees at my work place, work for this particular store manager. It is just a matter of time that this particular store manager will be transferred to another store and another store manager will take his place.

Quite often, it is NOT the job itself that is difficult, it is the DIRTY BS POLITICS, along with "tattle tales" and "snitches" that make the job difficult.

It would be fantastic if truck drivers were ABOVE all this BALONEY.

Yeah it would. But life is the way it is, or in other words, wish in one hand and poop in the other. See which hand has something in it. . .:biggrin_2557:
