Used to work out of OKC delivering meat. Saw a lot of Sysco drivers, all were happy and well paid. Delivering groceries is not for the faint of heart or the weak. I even delivered 250 lb sides of beef to a basement in Dardenele Ar. I got so tough I could hop in the back of a reefer using my hands and just jumping. Now I'm a 220 lb overweight 98 lb weakling.

Mike, Not attacking you, Get that outta the way first.

Yins Pop / Beer/ Food service folks work hard and those fluffy promotional videos is 0.25% of what the true details of the job is.
Should add a comment below, Instead of slapping a youtube link.

I like reading what other local drivers do around my AO instead of Promotional generic propaganda, :smt071

I gottcha this video that I had wasn't made by the Sysco company that other beer video was a promotional one, not to many beer truck drivers making You Tube videos, it's pretty hard to when your running 18-24 stops a day ha-ha!

I drive a side loader beer truck in Cleveland, Ohio for Coors Light and I think I'll start a thread giving an account of what I have to go through I think it will be interesting I do periodically take pictures throughout the day just to have it might be good reading and if I can I'll post some of those pictures you'll get to see even more.

I do LTL P/D. Very familiar how your day goes 12-25 stops a day. Except sometimes deliver Liquor to the state stores in PA, Which is nothing compared to you folks ( we have other headaches and other threads which i will not hijack this ) :biggrin_25519:
But for the random person looking to get into Beer delivery. No doubt would be great for them to read your experiences brother.

    Start a thread. I'll subscribe :glasses5:
