I'm curious to see what kinds of set ups other people are using to help me decide what I want. Right now I'm using a Midland handheld cb with external antenna and listen to music on my tablet through Bluetooth speakers. It works okay, but I'd like to have satellite radio and the option to listen to local channels, maybe Coast to Coast if it's an interesting topic. If I'm going to add that, I might get my Cobra 29 out of the closet and use it instead of the Midland. I haven't found much information other than some pricy (but nice) aluminum boxes. To top it off, I don't have much experience with wiring electronics and I want to make sure I do it right. Any ideas, suggestions, photos? Thanks.

Xm satellite radio has a phone app. So you can use your phone to listen to music instead of buying the whole set up

you could use a wood box, speaker and 12v CB plug(cig lighter style) go to truck stop and get a vice grip type antenna bracket.

most guys buy a cheap tool box made of plastic, and cut it out for their amfm, speakers, cb, and run the antennas out to vice grip or other quick connect antennas, and have a 12 volt cig plug or ALSO an adaptor to put on the plug to hook up to the plastic wire nuts.

George noory will definetly keep you up with the night weirds, lol.....

Not much help here, Doing P&D CB is pointless and frankly still don't use a bluetooth ( OMG DANGEROUS DRIVER ALERT!!! ) just use the speaker and yell into the phone. No clue if our units could synch up with a phone, way out of my experience understanding mobile crap lol.

I just throw on the iHeartradio app for local white noise from a android phone, because most of our units lack a radio/knobs/ lighted face/ speakers/ antenna.

I have unlimited data @ $60 per month, Your mileage will vary.

I'm still using a flip phone that I got back in the caveman days. I've been thinking about upgrading, and if I can get XM satellite and iHeartradio apps (and a good data plan) that seems like the easiest way to go.

I made mine small because I'm so low on the totem pole I literally switch tractors every time and at that rate I only drive once in a while. It has pandora control thru the head unit and I will add my xm unit and holster once I get an assigned tractor. [IMG][IMG]

I stopped using a CB when every first class idiot thought the word "Hand" was cool. I have a stereo CD radio in the dash with aux. out put. I plug my iPhone in and jam all the day.
