Hey all,
New to the forum so hopefully this post is in the right place. I've just recently moved to Houston, TX and have about had it with my current employer. Can I please get some lists of good 'home every day' companies out in Houston as well as Austin? I currently make about $3,000.00 gross every two weeks and have 7 + years of Class A CDL (no endorsements but can get if needed). Thanks in advance.

Start with Old Dominion if they are in your area.

You can make that kinda money and more.
Tankers, your in a great area for them and with your experience many places will train you.
There's nothing difficult with tankers, I rarely touch anything anymore and when I do its usually an air off which are easy -
You are in a prime spot for tankers, might want to try sentinel transportation. I luv it here.

Jetco Delivery,Lhoist,Grocers Supply,McLane,Southeastern Freight Lines,Sun Coast Resources,Triple S Steel,Overland Express. There's a bunch of local home every night trucking jobs in Houston. Tanker jobs and intermodal Frieght jobs are in high demand for local truck drivers here in the Houston area. Conway and other big name companies are in the Houston Metro area as well.

$3k every two weeks? You're doing well already from a $ standpoint. As the folks already mentioned, you can look for local by checking out food service, LTL, and tanker companies. LTL will usually require doubles/triples, tank, and hazmat endorsements. You'll obviously need tank for a tanker job. Might as well get your endorsements now.
