I'd be interested in Daytons pay scale and benefits, for comparison.
-
I would go to Old Dominion over Dayton.. Old Dominion is probably larger with more options, and is honestly, in my opinion, the best LTL in the industry for this period.. I should also say that I don't see Dayton pulling pups.. I don't remember ever seeing Dayton pulling pups.. only 53', and OD pulling mainly pups(doubles).

oldtrucker66 and Joews Thank this.

You cant go wrong with either of those companies, honestly. Both have very good reputations with their drivers around here.
blacklabel Thanks this. -
But yea they pay really well for being a no name in the ltl industry.
That being said, OD would probably be the better option due to the fact that they are much larger and would have more work if you were to go line haul. -
.616 a mile is a good rate. What does OD pay by mile for top rate?
I do know OD doesn't pay overtime for hourly or if they do it's after like 55 or 60 hours. -
I work for OD in Syracuse, NY. Top milage rate is .65 after 2 years and $26 and change for hourly (P&D). If looking at Line Haul, you'll start out as a wild driver, kinda sucks as you don't really have a schedule. Just kind of working the times they need you.

I noticed that they had a weekly pay listed for 40 hours work. Kinda wonder what kinda hours they're getting in over there at Dayton realistically.
