    i have a 98 cl 700 with a 427 engine on cooler mornings when it is started the tachometer and the fuel pedal do not work it also idles up to 900 r.p.m.s if left running it will idle down and tach will work and fuel pedal will work for rest of day what puts i
    engine in safe moad ?

    as I remember it is engine with injection pump. there are two engine speed sensors, one is mounted on engine housing, other - in injection pump (used for injection timing correction).

    When engine pos. sensor fails engine runs is "fault mode". So I sugest engine speed sensor wiring
