I had a new Pete doing the same thing, It made me have a bad taste and would do the same thing. I thought it could be the interior plastics , I know when you go inside a new class a motor home the formaldehyde can make your eyes water. Maybe your having the same problem? Can't say. But I do know if you get that urea fluid on your clothes it will put holes in them and it rusts metal , I assume and this is only a assumption , that's why the holding tank is plastic. I use to run with the windows down in the winter.

All def is cow poo and water. So can't see how it is affecting you. Most likely antifreeze or if you have bunk heater then diesel.

DEF is urea and water. Urea is commonly used as a fertilizer to replace ammonia nitrate due to it being cheaper and you can't make a bomb out of it. I know a local farmer that makes his own by mixing liquid urea fertilizer with water, says he saves quite a bit of money over buying it. I've been drenched in the stuff before without ill effects. About the only problem is it is highly acidic, it will even eat aluminum. This is one of the main reasons I don't want a truck with DEF, it's got to be awfully hard on the exhaust system and if you spring a hose leak or something it will eat the frame out from under the truck in no time.
JForce28 Thanks this.
