Own a CH Mack with the E-7 and a problem with the front motor mount.

Here's the deal, it looks like the engine is moving from side to side because the front cross member is all shiny in the oval shape of the bottom mount....I'll describe the setup......

3 mounts, triangle shape. Front is a big rubber block with 2 large bolts running verticle through the mount. Rears are 2 pieces of iron bolted to the frame and two ears , one on each side of the bell housing and each having two bolts running through rubber tee shaped grommets. Every bit of it is new ( less than a year old ) and very expensive.

Every bolt has been checked and they're tight..... only way to get tighter would be the big guns like 3/4 or 1" impact and 150 lbs air and hope you don't twist something off. Is that the answer? Haven't got the fan shroud yet and prolly won't but I can't let this guy wander around either.

Whatcha think? Hit it hard and don't worry ?

    Tks.....

I would try to pull them apart and inspect mounting bolts, I have seen them bend under stress causing the same issue you are explaining
