Very True. That,, plus bailing wire, can fix everything from bathroom sinks to cracked ring & pinions on a heavy haul differential.
Seriously, for the OP:
Rule #1: If any mechanic/shop "fixes" anything twice or more... by using the exact same fix method as the previous (failed) "fix"... they qualify for a "Here's Your Sign" diploma.
If your air line is coiled plastic (ABS, polypropelene, etc) it should have a factory crimped on threaded fitting to screw onto the gladhand. If the shop jury-rigs the hose by simply snipping off the old (expanded) end portion, and simply uses a push-on type connection, it will fail... repeatedly.
If your air line is rubber (non-coiled), it needs a clamp on any push-on barbed connections to the gladhand.
Best advice: Just get new air hoses. Why screw with something so cheap & soo vital.
