Just bought a used pinnacle cxu. Came from my 1999 century. Was definitely concerned about emissions on motor (mp8) but so far so good. No regeneration issues. It doesn't have def. Mileage about 5.5-5.7 fairly heavy reefer so far. Been about 7500 miles and I love it so far. Interior noise is much quieter than I'm used to. Would like a little better fuel mileage but can't complain overall.

I run an '11 Mack Pinnacle. Over 400,000 miles on the clock, already had SCR issues and had to completely replace all the injectors. When it runs, it's a beast of a motor. But when it breaks, boy howdy!

On the other hand, I ran it for a few months on bad injectors (took a while to convince the shop they needed replaced, since I don't run through Memphis on a regular basis anymore) and she kept on rolling. Bad vibration off the engine and steadily dropping available power, but we still got work done.

I find the truck to be pretty comfortable and over all decently built. No leaks, drafts, or rattling, at least. The MP8 is overall a pretty reliable engine (not sure if the injector problem is a result of bad design or poor fuel quality). Bet I'd be willing to bet the mileage would be better if the motor could breathe a bit more.

Well, bad news. It burned on Dec. 31. I've gotten another truck and am back on the road. It looks like it was an electrical fire.
FYI, there is a recall on the EPDM (Electronic Power Distribution Module). The insurance company is still investigating. I wasn't notified of it. You can look it up on the internet for the NHTSA recall number. We'll see.
Until then it was a good truck. 2010 doesn't have SCR, just DPF and EGR.
