Well maintained trucks equipped with a TK Tri-pak sounds mighty appealing. But...considering the mountain of negative posts, here and elsewhere, Marten Transport does not appear too attractive anymore. A shame too, because only a few years ago Marten was frequently grouped as one of the five top companies to drive for.

Your are CORRECT when you say, they USED to be one of the top 5 to work for 5 years ago. And Honestly they were. I was getting 3,000 miles weekly, home when i requested, even saw the qaurterly bounus twice in one year.
I had planned to retire from here. Not now.
In talking with the few SR. drivers left, Rodger Marten is doing back flips in his grave, seeing how Randy his son, and Tim Kohl are running this companyinto more of A regional/ intermodle operation, not caring about the Sr drivers, or even the SR. people in the office. They recently fired two people from Safety who had 20 and 25 years expreance, and replace them with some one with 3 or 4 years expreance.
They fire dispatchers who runs thier trucks good, keep dispatchers who sit thier trucks 6 weekends in a row ( happened to me once)

I don't think it was Randy...he wanted to scale back on the day to day running. Which is fine seeing as how he's probably spent most of his adult life with the company. The problems started when they brought that dumb-### Kohl over from Knight, and HE brought a bunch of Knight re-treads with him. They started to remake Marten into another Knight...which is a HUGE step down, if you talk with Knight drivers for any length of time. With the creating of a new Northeastern regional...complete with a new terminal set for Eastern PA, that's going to make I think 14 Marten terminals around the country...almost 3 times as many as when I started... just like Knight. And the driver is gonna be treated just like oil filters and tires...parts that need to be replaced when they've been on the truck too long.

Not that I know of, Ahem... LOL, What does it say? I've seen Marten trucks around Phx and was asking how they were... What are you asking? Yes I'm going somewhere... Wherever I feel like it, When I feel like it... No I'm not leaving Watkins and Dhepard, I love it here, Why would I ever leave? I'm being paid well and like it, I have an automatic transmission truck and no one else has that, I'm not sure of your concern. Thanks. TD24
