Pay is much better now that I'm at 42 cents. Averaging about 2200 miles and 3-4 tarps a week. Miles have been low from running lots of minimum loads so there's been a lot of unloading/loading time. Average DRIVE time per day has been 7-8 hours with total on duty around 10-11. I ONLY stop for fuel (once a day) and load checks while on dispatch with the occasional nature call that can't wait until a load check.

I've also been getting 500 mile loads on the weekend. This weekend I start with 900 BUT I have to leave Sunday night with 500 miles left so I will sit in Minneapolis (Elk River) without a load until Tuesday unless I get an overnight pickup. Recap was not a good option and neither was a 34 at the consignee. That's just the way it goes sometimes. My best option actually was to leave Dickson, TN and drive until my time ran out Saturday, then 34, then drive the rest of the way in with time to reload Monday. I didn't have enough on my 70 to drive all the way to the consignee. I elected for home time. Family ALWAYS trumps work.

I run on a dedicated divison (Flatbed) for Maverick and I would estimate my average weekly miles at about 1800-1900, some weeks I get up to around 2100-2200 though. On this division we are paid mileage, tarp pay, and load pay, so, I think I am doing alright for a guy into his sixth month with Maverick as of June 1, 2012.

Here is what I've done over the past five weeks. 11,860 total miles. That avg 2372 per week. These are hub miles so paid miles would be about 90 percent or 2134. I'm in glass so I get .48 mile. Avg pay works out to 1,024 per week plus tarp and glass trailer pay. And this was done in a truck that breaks down every week. Also I spent 7 nights at the house in these 5 weeks

On my dedicated account I average around 24 to 2500 miles a week. But I will say I do a lot of turn and Burn. A lot of the other guys say they run 18 to 2200 miles a week. I don't know maybe I just keep my door closed and run as efficiently as I can. I don't drive fast I only average around 57 to 58 mile an hour. I do like my fuel bonus checks.

2770 this week, but not typical. It's easy to pull a lot when you start out near a grand. This week I'm starting with a more typical 380 mile run to finish the weekend off.

I am applying at Maverick, but I will not be processed until mid July due to a ticket last year. I have no accidents on my MVR. I am going to be in line waiting for a trainer, and being a woman, it might take a while. Can you tell me if you know any women who train glass division at Maverick? This is my first choice, and I'll hold out for it even if I have to wait a little longer than I'd like to.
