yeah, although I do not do the leave early early Monday a.m. for my Monday drop, when I DO, I have to say I can agree that it turns out that way for me too. Weird. And 10-4 on the parking LOL!! Its really cool to be done at 4 or 5pm also. As far as miles goes, it has been a little shaky for my dedicated account too as far as freight and miles. Seems that I have been hearing this freight and miles problem a bit lately from all Maverick drivers I talk to.

Hubby says the same thing about leaving Sundays- that it doesn't make a difference but we're the point now that we're doing everything we can to maximize his chances for a good week. He does have to wait on shippers and receivers a lot (even though he is on time). I just figured that was normal. I don't ride with him but we talk on the phone and he tells me what's going on. I'm just on here because I'm curious to as what the other drivers are experiencing. I tell ya we wonder daily who hubby peed off.

I've also quit leaving Sunday nights. I think that if you are mt early Monday morning and haven't started your clock you get passed over for loads by those on the clock. So you end up sitting around until 10:00 and that throws off your whole week. The only other times I leave out on Sunday is when I have 400 - 500 miles to run.

This week I took off oTueue got home sat morning and ran 2200 miles. That works for me.

I'll be sitting on less than 700 on Wednesday am it looks like. It's getting to be the way all of my weeks are.

yeah, I think I will be at 1165 miles with 3 loads delivered tomorrow a.m. (Wednesday). Gonna be a struggle to get close to 2000/5 this week I fear.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but here it goes. I've been contacted by Maverick and TMC, just can't decide between the 2 of them. My biggest concern is the pay. If any of you can give me a comparison of these two companies pay it would be greatly appreciated. Keeping in mind I live in Southern Illinois so I know the freight routes are probably different and I would like to get home to the kids every weekend, but I come from a trucking family so I know that isn't always possible. Here is what I know already.....Maverick said they would start me at .33 for the first 3 months and said 2200-2600 miles a week. TMC said I could pick between mileage or percentage of the load and the majority of TMC drivers make more on %. 26% would be the starting rate for me and I'm also a retired Gunnery Sergeant of the Marine Corps so I'm eligible for the VA Apprenticeship Program which also pays me more for 18 months. I just need some insight from experienced drivers so I can finally decide on which company to drive for. Sorry for the long post, but I've read all the threads and would like to finally make a decision. Thanks again for any help you can provide. God bless and stay safe out there.
