Laughed my butt off every time for my first 6 months until I got transferred to my current FM, Tom. Still talk to Monica here and there though when Tom is out.

Tell her to tell the Maverick wives that if they have any single girlfriends looking for a Maverick boyfriend, give me a call! :biggrin_2559:

I will repost this older post that I originally posted on another thread, I think the BS thread, on 6.22.13 after my wife went out with me for her first time. I figured since there is now a wives thread, maybe they would appreciate it. Here goes:
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Alright, I received permission to post this. This was authored by my better half from her experience over the past week out on the road with me. I will omit the final three sections that are intended for specific members of the PLD Board. Quote:
" Okay, so I did it! I sat passenger in a semi with my husband who I see approximately one day each week. *FIRST- Let me apologize to all truckers for ever pulling out in front of you and/or slowing down on a downhill, and I guess for just being out on the road at the same time as you! (Joke intended there) What a bunch of --- ----- we "4 wheelers" are! Now I know why my husband dislikes people. *SECOND- I had no idea how many drivers there were (out on the road). SERIOUSLY! I had NO IDEA. I work at a local Gas Station, and those people who work at the Truck Stops are busting their ---! Please be nice to them. Also, what kind of jerk pumps his fuel and then leaves his truck (still at the pumps) and goes into the store to go shopping??? Don't do that! *THIRD- To the wives: Was it fun? No. Was it horrible?? No. I didn't get to see my Husband "work" much because I was not allowed to get out and watch most of the time and had to stay in the truck- sometimes for hours at some places. I started to go bat ---- crazy sitting in there LOL! But I will say that he evidently worked hard because he was drenched in sweat! Their days are this: Wake up, drive, get to destination, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, back a semi with trailer into a place I couldn't back my car- oops! I mean 4 wheeler, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, get unloaded or loaded, tie down their load, tarp, drive.....over and over and over again. I felt like I was having deja vu. *FOURTH- You drivers ----- like a bunch of girls HA! Almost ALL Mavericks waved at each other (as they would pass each other on the road). If there was a Maverick there, he helped. It is nice to see a "Brotherhood." To all the guys in my husband's division (and I-jxu, am adding here- the people on the TTR threads) Thank you for keeping Jeff sane and for making him laugh!"

Ha, she summed it up pretty good. Nobody really knows unless they live it. I don't like waiting in the truck for hours @ shipper/receiver either but, I do like to read so that passes the time. I love the traveling and going places I never thought about going. I'm pretty sure dedicated is different as far as a lot of different places.

I have a mind set that it is a FREE camping vacation for me. A step above tent camping. I'm also one that always tries to find the good in something bad. I have always considered myself a "people person" Although I do find myself saying "*#!* loved ones" a lot.
