Get there as early as you can, being early is on time! And take lots of notes!!! Buy yourself a big paper binder to take notes. While in training, relax and have fun!

well talked to my recruiter from maverick today he said I should know something by wens really excited to find out if I will be invited to orientation or not hope it is good news I do already have one other offer but I'm waiting on maverick before I make a final decision because for some reason I have wanted to drive for maverick from day 1 in my driving school class everyone gave each other a cb handle well everyone started calling me maverick

It'd be a pretty good company to start with, especially if you want to do flatbed.
In training, when they want you to do things a certain way (they'll emphasize the biggies), just do them. Don't be too argumentative too many times. Pay close attention, follow instructions, do things their way, and you'll make it just fine. It's not that hard, but some people are too stubborn and they're the ones who get sent home... with a bus ticket, or reimbursement if you drive yourself.

Seems appropriate to post this question in this thread...Does Maverick provide housing during orientation? Or a discount rate at a hotel? Or is housing at your own expense out of pocket? I Haven't been able to find this anywhere, so any info is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

yes they provide housing. the first week you are in a bunk house on the yard. the rest of the time they put you in the hotel down the street. the bunk house is nicer than the hotel.

There is nothing wrong with the maverick hotel or the Galloway down the street. They are both nicer than some hotels I have paid for
