Maverick is the bottom feeder of the flatbed world.

I wouldn't go that far. I know of a couple more that make maverick look like an elite outfit. But even if they are the bottom feeder, they are still light years better than your typical dryvan and reefer carrier.

I can only go by my experience and that of my friends that Drive for Maverick. They have always treated me fair and have always been honest with me. They have never given me a reason to want to go anywhere else. If they are a bottom feeder company, then I am a very happy cat fish!

There have been many days that Hubby has been available for loads and nothing came. He has even sat all day up at the truckstop near the house waiting for nothing. It gets frustrating but see, he came from one of those bottom feeder companies and just remembering what he went through with them... it kinda makes you hesitant to leave because it could be much, much worse.

There will always be days spent wasted without getting a load. That's just trucking.

doesn't maverick pay you something if they cant get you a load like dentition pay? that is what the recruiter said that came in to our school said he also said if they couldn't get you a load on the weekends and cant get you home you get 800 mile pay and if they got you load and you drove 150 miles to deliver it you will get paid for 300 miles at least

No load equals 800 mile pay but say you have a 300 mile load you will get and additional 500 miles to equal 800.
