Private Message to Flatbedn, he works for Melton and will tell it like it is.

Ask yourself, why would a company spend thousands of dollars training a new driver, then only use the driver for a few weeks? The answer is, reputable companies like Melton don't do that.

Littleduck, if it's not to late my advice switch to Cross Country driving School in Thomasville. ALOT BETTER TRAINING! My husband went to Cross Country and a friend went to Future Truckers. They compared each as schooling went along. Friend really wishes he would have gone to Cross Country. Be very careful Future Truckers has something going with USA trucking. If you have to sign a contract because of tuition that's usually where you go to fulfill it. If you pay up front remember Maverick reimburses you up to 3000.00.

My husband has loved working for Maverick for almost 3 yrs now.

I heard that Melton was going to be putting cameras in their trucks facing the drivers so I don't know that I could handle that. Not sure that maverick does that but to me that would be a big thing. If I lived in the Midwest or east instead of Cali I would of went to Maverick when I first started. They seem to have the highest pay for a driver just starting out. also have a few different divisions you could haul for.

Why not consider TMC? TMC is like marverick, but with better trainign and more pay. The % pay scale works out to atleast ,46...average is closeer to .48

Who told you that?? Even Melton pays better..at TMC it takes 4 years to be at 41 cents..

At Melton a student starts at .32, but with three month raises, will be at .42 starting the second year and experienced start at .42 where at TMC, they start at .37 and it takes them 4 years to get to .41..

I heard that TMC pays their drivers a snitch bonus to inform on other TMC drivers if they see their trucks are not kept spotless and then fines the TMC driver of the dirty truck to pay the snitch.

I wonder how the "snitch" would know when the truck is due/allowed to be washed?
