if you can't make it through orientation, you will not make it as a flatbedder at Maverick. The box dead lift, with all the weights in it was 145 pounds. I believe they told us 100 pounds was the minimum they required, but they didn't expect everyone to lift the maximum. only 3 of us lifted the max out of 23

Cheese I dont think thats why as I heard a driver say he stayed on flats because he was told there wouldnt be any division hopping back and forth during slow periods.

Expanding on what Dan said...yes they do and no they don't.
Glass division is REQUIRED to have a passport and go to Canada (no ifs, ands, or buts about it)
Flatbed division can go if you have a passport...but its not required (you either agree to do it or you don't...if you tell them you'll do it in the first place, you'll have to...you can't pick and choose loads)
Specialized (MSO...heavy haul)...its preferred that you have a passport, but not required...I don't.
TCD...I have no idea.
At least thats the way it was last I heard...which was last year when they tried to make me get my passport.
