Drove by the HQ in Arkansas and saw no fewer than 100 brand new trucks sitting out front. What gives? Did they buy a bunch of new rigs or are they having trouble filling them?

Part of it is the normal upgrading of the fleet.
From time to time you'll see a lot of trucks out there. -
Oh ok, just curious

Maverick only keeps their trucks for 3 years, so they buy about 450 new trucks each year. I was in Laurinburg a few days ago and saw a whole bunch of tractors that were just taken out of service, so it makes sense that new replacements have arrived. I also noticed that they had many of the retired "converter" trailers unstacked and sitting on the lot with the glass racks up. I wonder if they are getting ready to sell them off, or possibly have other plans for them. From what I have heard, they were hated by just about every driver that ever used one.
