Practically every person I've spoken to about lease op (except guys like Darryl Boyd) in the past three years have warned against it.

My question is if it's such a great opportunity to advance financially, why isn't everyone doing it? The vast majority of experienced and seasoned drivers who have steered away from it these past several years can't all be that dumb.

Are you willing to breakdown everything you have to pay, such as prepass, plateswhat year truck, and miles or is it the current one you are driving. Etc, good luck.

Best advice I could give is do this: run your truck right now as if you were running a lease truck.

See if May will give a copy of the lease contract so you can figure out all expenses. Go off thier per mile pay and start deducting everything you have to pay for (fuel, maintenance, etc.). While you still are a company driver. It may provide a better insight for you.

The best way honestly, would be to buy from a dealer through a bank loan if you can afford to do it that way. Don't let yourself be an indentured servant to a company.
