Think people .. the guy that owns the truck you drive pays YOU 50k .. he also makes money for himself off that truck... or he woulnt be able to eat, right? So, if he drives his own truck, he makes that 50k he pays you plus his part for owning that Truck.
You guys are not looking at it on the business side.
After expenses .. my Gross near 75k. (Expenses: Fuel, Taxes, Breakdowns, Tires, Ect.)
Gotta think... The guy that OWNS the company makes more then the guy he employs.
What risk? As long as there is Freight .. I work.. just like a Company Driver.

well, you would be the only one without a speed governor. Thier name being represented, their speed rules. Older owner/ops greandfathered into 72 limit, then 70, then 65
God I loved when I sold cars and owner ops would put $175k on their credit app. And then they had to bring in their W2 ,and they really only made $55-60k lol
Douchey dot-com founder "my company grossed over $100M last year" (leaves out the part about the profit of only $1M lol)
I don't care if you grossed $300k, if your expenses were $285k...
So :
$175k
-$80k in fuel (I'm thinking it's probably more since you have 'no governor,' and had to have driven over 150k to make that much, even with their measely surcharge they pass on)
-$15k truck payments
-$10k repairs/maint
= $70k (not to mention other expenses)
As a company sheep, I'll make close to $60k this year, and won't freak out when I have a drive tire blowout...
You can keep it!
