Have heard em called Super Slicks. At Schneider now, (14 months at May), and all they'll run are duels.

First time I ever saw one was on a truck with a blow-out. It sent part of the tire. mud flap and mud flap frame up under a pickup driving beside it and took out the pickups transmission. The rest of the tire went up under a car behind the truck and damaged the front clip. Quite the mess for a blow-out. I ride a Harley and would hate to think what would have happend if a bike would have been beside the truck.

its like driving on marbles in the snow but they are lighter and so you can carry a little more freight and easier to chain

Super singles are great! I have run three sets now and run mountains and in rain all the time great traction and on fuel they ride smoother and the chain up is easier the only law I would add is that they should be considered a three rail because of the width so I would not have to chain all four in Washington state on snoqualmie pass

Wait until you pay for a blow out. I assure you your enthusiasm will be gone lol
Paloma Thanks this. -
And anyone that has even a pea brain knows that a fat tire is the worst thing in snow. You want a thin tire in snow ..

i think the idea of the super singles is stupid, you get a flat and your down... i haul crushed cars from junk yards to the steel shredding mill locally, but we got a flat on one of the dually's on the semi trailer and we still went 3 days on that flat before it got noticeable. with that super single we would've been down and had to have the mechanic come out and change it and waste 2 hours fixing it and wouldnt be able to drive back to the yard.
