Well, as for me I just finished two months back on the road. Thoroughly enjoying my time back in the truck. The money as an L/O isn't too bad either. Considerably better than I ever made as a company driver. I'm running really well on the I-5 corridor and getting consistent home time.

What companies do you think offer "greener pastures"??? I ask this seriously. How can you rely on for high miles and decent CMP, without too much drama/office incompetence?
-
Typo - WHO can you rely on....
-
Look for a place that offers % pay. Its way better than chasing miles.
-
Example: place i work at now pays me 28%. I drove about 1500 miles the week before Xmas and made $1137 that week before taxes
-
I get 90% of the load. I'm a L/O. My paycheck was way bigger than $1,137 the week before Xmas, just sayin'
-
Well yeah if I was making 90% I'd be killing it too. I just don't want that risk with the truck and I enjoy being home 4 out of 5 nights and weekends off. You still got your weekends right?
-
I'm home 3 nights a week usually
-
Now you're rubbing it in.
My two years with May are almost up. I will be looking for something that is out of the Sacramento area (no Lathrop!).
Suggestions welcome.
