Good advice Paloma. Another note, on the 13 speed, It's quite easy to get used to as the shift pattern is the same H pattern as a car. No up over and down. You'll learn to love the splitter, little button you use your thumb on. I learned a lot at my time with MTC but didn't care for the OTR lifestyle. Relax, MTC wants you to succeed.

sounds like you normally use 2 thru 13. Is 1st a super low for to get max weight loads rolling? would 1st be located above or below reverse?

Start at 2nd .. is basically a double "H" patern like 4 on the floor in a car ... but once ya flip the splitter for the top 4 gears, there's another small red thumb splitter to split the gears from "low" to "high" on the top 4 gears.

But for yer Drive test in Orientation, you will drive like a double 4 speed.

Here are a couple of videos about shifting the 13 speed Eaton that are very helpful. The first one is a great explanation
and the second one is a great demonstration including a PIP (picture in picture) so that you can see his feet and hand at the same time. Brilliant! Watch the 1st one to get the concept then watch the 2nd one to see it in action. Good luck to us all.

Congrats new DRIVER. Welcome to the paying part .
That was probably the most stressful test so far.
    It gets easier from there.
