Can you park at a truck stop when on home time if one is close to your house?

If you're in LA, you would ideally park at the Fontana yard. But, the answer would be "yes", if you have a Truckstop in mind where parking is free (unlike, say, Petro in Ontario).

Are you sure about this? I have seen that May is pretty strict about trucks usually being parked in their yards only.

No, now that you mention it, I am not exactly sure. However, I have seen a Driver park his truck at Sierra Sids in Sparks and leave it there. Wife came and got him; he was gone for two nights. I was parked next to him (I was stuck there because the planners can just forget about you).

May planners couldn't plan themselves out of a wet paper sack.

May has allowed me to leave truck and trailer, loaded, at a truck stop for hometime. They asked that I check on it once a day. I did so happily (my hometown is 3 miles end to end, no biggie) but I think I could've said no if it was an issue and they wouldn't have been too upset.
Maybe this is the usual, maybe my DM was just being cool, that one I can't answer.
