May's website shows Prostar, Cascadia and Pete 587sas Tractors currently on their fleet. I saw an Article mentioning May has placed and order for 1100 Protstars, are the 587s and Cascadias being phases out in favor of the Prostar?

What was the date on the article you read? I suspect that was just a PR article for exposure quite awhile back. I know that when I was with May they were starting to bring in Prostars, however, the management changed their minds.
blwjr Thanks this. -
I cant find the orginal article but your probably correct, it was probably a couple of years old.
Im waiting for word back from May to see if I qualify so we can set up a date for orientation.
Guys, thanks for the responses.blwjr Thanks this. -

Whats up with the Peterbilt 579s? Is May still testing them or did they can it? I've only seen one of them so far.

Are the Tractors equipped with GPS?
-
Nope. That is something that you'll need to buy. Keep the receipt: that is the sort of equipment that is tax deductable (along with CB radio, work boots, etc.)
SDVA Thanks this. -
No one knows anything about the 579s?
-
They were asked to test one by peterbilt way back. Doesn't look as if they are going that route. Haven't seen any on the road, but that doesn't mean they won't in the future.
