Give me a dollar and i'll write nice things about you....:mlaugh: like how you helped little old ladies across the parking lot at Dennys at the flying hook or find homes for starving puppies on hometime....
    (yours, not theirs)

I like it , some truck stops suck , some are nice and the occasional rest area is interesting. I am not having any problems with otr life.

no , the first week I was scratching my head at the load wondering what goes where a bit ,but you start throwing chains on the soft wood and realize you should be strapping and after you fix all the mistakes and reroll the tarp to roll it back out again on top of your load instead of the ground and it all starts to make sense and 3-4 hours later you start driving away hoping you didnt forget your load bar on top of the trailer somewhere so then you pull over real fast to check out if you did it right and see if you still have your gascap on tight. ( winners all have ocd )

I have been real lucky starting out and don't want to jinx it by overthinking it , I get a load and figure out where it goes and then start securing- little by little it all ends up being done and away you go. I haven't done one yet where I wish I didnt line the coil up better so the spool was even in the middle instead of off to the side a little bit or wondered what my axle weight was on the way to a scale somewhere and wish I moved the entire load forward or backwards 1 foot or whatever ,but you deliver and unload and its history and make more mistakes ( little ones ) on the next load. Perfection is right around the corner....

One day I will go to a place I have already been and it will be boring until then I kinda like going to a new place all the time to pick up something that never matches the load desription well or what I thought it would be in my head anyways lol.

If I did tarp the trailer it would look like I was hauling a blimp down the road cause of the huge bubble except for when I pulled up to a traffic light.

It's never wrong to over think in flat bedding. Better to be safe than sorry. As far as the tools go, I make it a point to put everything on the left front of the trailer. Even if I have to use it again. This way, when everything is said and done, I have to walk past it. It gets expensive when you have to pay to replace stuff AND you do have to pay to replace it. I even do a walk around after I think everything is done and put away. That 30.00 load bar is a pair of shoes for one of my kids... Just sayin'

Would you mind sharing what the pre-hire requirements you mentioned at the beginning are?

easiest way is just call a recruiter. I am not a recruiter or even one of the driver recruiter people , I am just a driver and I think I was warned in a pm about promoting this company .
