Michele, first off, you don't even make sense! From what I have seen, Melton will spend THEIR OWN MONEY to get one of their drivers home when there is a legitimate emergency. I have seen them deadhead a driver over 600 miles AND pay them for it whenever they had to get home due to an emergency.
Sacred Feline Thanks this. -
well from what i am seeing it seems like there is more good comments on melton thn bad. so is ther pay preaty good over all/ how about home time is it very good? also do they tarp every load?
-
Mule, pay goes by experience, Home time is one day earned for every week out and they are decent about getting you home and I tarp prob about 85% of my loads.
mule Thanks this. -
Wow this Michele lady is something else,,,I have read her post thru out this system and what a lady!!! Seems to me that she needs to release the collar from around her husbands neck, let him be a man,and get a life of her own.One post she is filing bankruptcy, next post her husband won 73,000 at some casino, she has too much work for just her but yet has time to try and bash a trucking company when I am quiet sure she has no CDL let alone ever drove a truck. Wow what a lady !!! And thay wounder why husbands want to be a truck driver...Who could live a life with her holding the collar ?
-
What does it matter if she does or does not have a CDL, and how would you know anyway? There are plenty of other jobs in the trucking industry that do not require the license.
Many trucker's wives are involved in their hubby's driving careers in one way or another. They help deal with things their husbands cannot take care of while they are driving. They learn as much about a trucking company as their husbands do, and can tell others just as much about a certain company as someone driving for that company.
Before you think about picking this post apart, I am a trucker's wife, retired trucker and the daughter of a trucker with over 30 years of experience.
Have a good day, driver.Cybergal, seanoleary1979 and crazy35752 Thank this. -
Well michaelmtc I'll be there jan 5th. I'm going to give them a shot. at least it's a job.
but you can ask the same ? about any co. and get the same answer. so there for if you want the truth go and work for them. what might suck to 1 driver might be great for another! -
Hey crossbreed, congrats and good luck with them. Since your in GA, you will get to see alot of SC port. I hauled many steel coils out of there.
