I think everything he said was true , wanda is a bear because she wants perfect fuel compliance , I got lots of fuel bonuses and always ran 65 and fuled where I wanted to . The DM's make all the difference in that fuel department.I just quit after 15 months total employment, tiny paychecks = time to do something else , I don't blame melton its just slow and they aren't good at getting loads when its slow.

Last message i got i was at 6.8 mpg running hard every time. Only had to call so much due to roads being closed and stupid birds hitting me or dumb stuff and not sitting waiting for a reply.

I'm with Mrh2008, getting decent miles. 3100 last week and I drop a 1800 mile in the morning and hope to have some thing for the weekend which would put me up there. So much of this is luck of the draw when you call empty and how often you go home seems like a factor, too. Pays my bills.

The only difference between you and an o/o is that they own their trucks, you don't. Besides that, you have to have the same exact approach to this job as they do. Your company is paying you for a service, they expect you to have that same level of professionalism. Regardless of what you're doing for a job, you need to treat yourself like a business, not someone who's just getting paid to some work.
I'm here looking for info on a few companies. I'm not the only one. Just, before you guys complain about these companies, you gotta question what you could have done to make it better. And looking from the dispatchers POV, no offense to this guy, I'm sure he's a very hard worker, but going from only having a computer screen, and only limited phone calls, not addressing issues before they're a problem instead of after, I wouldn't give the miles to people like that. I'd give them to the guy who knows when a pickup or delivery time isn't possible, and let's me know asap so that I can make a call and get the time changed, or trade his load with a different truck. The easier you make their job, the better they'll make yours. Just be one of those "favorites" -
No miles. No pay. I can't stand it!
Only 4,480 miles between this load and last load for a total of $2,020.60.
thats gotta be less than minimum wage, right? -
