During the orientation/physical, is there a physical screening involving climbing, squatting, carrying, etc...?

You will do a DOT physical also stand on one foot and balance for.I think 30.seconds. and lift 3 tarps the heaviest being around 90 pounds.

    Hello everyone!

Well im on my way to Houston for the second time this week. First i went dropped a load from Oklahoma down to Houston, got another in Houston and took it to Denver, then picked up about 110 miles away from Denver and now going back to Houston. Should be about 2600 miles once im done for Monday.

So far most of these appointment times ive had plenty of time to make it. The only one i had to change was Denver, but i still made it the day it was scheduled for just was a few hours over. I delivered to the airport they are doing a bunch of construction there. They gave me specific instructions once i was an hour away to wait on an onramp to get escorted in. I guess one of our drivers delivered the day before me and was in a place he shouldnt have been...it took 16 police escorts to get him out!

Ive been noticing that once i send my empty call i get a preplan pretty quick. I havent had to wait longer than an hour to get one. Most of them have been within 15-30 mins of sending my call in.

There were 3 other melton drivers picking up were i did, all going to houston. I only had about 2 hours left after i secured so i spent the night after driving for an hour got as far as i could go with a truck stop nearby. I havent requested home time yet and i wont for another week or so, have an appointment and things to do at home in May so no rush to get home. I dont have a fridge or anything yet, im waiting til i get home for that stuff. So for now i stop at truck stops. The one im at now and the one i stopped at last night had dirt parking lots, i expected them to get full but theres less than 10 here in total and there was less than that last night. Plenty of room.

Just wanted to give a update, everything seems to be rolling smoothly. Delivered thursday, got a pickup for friday and itll keep me moving til tomorrow, im only about 300 miles from where i need to be so ill have an early day tomorrow. Dont have to deliver til monday.
I seem to keep pretty busy. My 70 gets real close these past couple of days but doesnt look like ill need to reset for a few days, we will see how it goes on the next load.

Stay safe out there guys! Itll take some getting used to being away from home around times like these, i have a daughter but her mom has been keeping her busy. It helps to have video chat on phones these days. Im doing this to provide, im not going to be rich but it sure beats what i was getting for fulltime back home.

    Cya out there
