I see NC if not every week every other. We have a lot if freight in that area. Go with your trainer 21 days complete training get truck and request hometime. NC requires a seven day notice and you'll have 4-5 days banked hometime if you choose to use it all the first visit.

You can be home every two weeks but I suggest staying out 3 weeks. Melton respects your hometime request and because of the area I live in, I have always been home early. But the flip side is taking 3.5 - 4 days off every two weeks hurts your pay check.
I seriously either drive through, pick up, or deliver in North Carolina every other week. I have no doubt they'll get you home with ease. I had to pass on a North Carolina load yesterday because it was due in NC 630 Tuesday morning and I did not have the hours to get there.
Good luck with your decision.littleduck Thanks this. -

Maverick does concentrate on getting you home most weekends. Keep in mind and I am not speaking for Maverick but most truck companies idea of a weekend is 34 hours. I have never driven an auto truck so I can't give a knowledgeable opinion.
I went with Melton over Maverick because of the amount of Melton trucks in my home area versus Maverick. Also, the apu was a big deal to me. I'm not camping I wanted climate control when I sleep lol.knuckledragger and littleduck Thank this.
