Strap winder. Gloves. Telescoping painting pole. That's about it.

And the safety equipment that some shippers require. Brain bucket, vest, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc. Without all that, there's no way you would survive if the crane operator accidentally dropped a 23 ton coil on you.

Somebody ate his sarcasm pill today.

A ladder... Can't think of much else
-
I thought of buying a ladder, but honestly, in almost a year I have not needed my own ladder. The shipper has always had one for drivers to use if there is a need for one and they're the staircase type ladders with side rails.

Is there a specific OSHA vest or just ANY safety vest?
-
You can get brain bucket and vest at orientation. If you really want knee pads you can get them too. PADDING!!! Lots of it, I've gone dumpster diving at Alcoa once for a ton of that felt. Found moving blankets at a construction site. Some small 1 inch straps for anything being strapped to catwalk or under landing gear. Never needed a ladder but being 6'5 helps. Winder and paper towels help also.

Any "safety vest" should work. I'd bet that most are OSHA compliant anyways. Make sure it's able to be torn away.
