He is just now going through school so orrientation should be 8 day on tulsa! Unless they started students at all terminals! Just go with melton man, I spent hours doing research and melton was the best choice. Apu so trucks always cool, you don't have to idle to stay cool. Trucks are nice, the women at the truckstops seem to come to my truck more then swift trucks, guess the big chrome grill makes them think I want here services. Overall it's great here, your gonna work here so don't come thinking you are just gonna open a door and get back on your truck. We arnt sissys we flatbed! The reefer guys wish they could be as cool as us, but let's face it, they never will be!

you gave me a good laugh!

but yea pretty much we all take our trucks home. 2 weeks out and i believe for you they take a week to get you home.

start at .37 cpm, go to .39 after 3.months otr, then 44 after a year or 45 with 120k melton miles
    25$ per stop
    40$ tarp
25$ per inspection w no violation
    30$ out during a holiday

and 1200$ school reimbursement, 600 at your 6 month and the other 600 at your year.

I'm at melton and I'm getting great miles, I got a awesome DM, truck is good, miles seem very consistent, I'm consistently getting 3k+ a week. The spouse loves me being gone cause I can't tell her what to spend it on. Tarping sucks, but atleast we get payed for it, I would rather get payed and it suck then not get paid and it sucks, regardless all flatbed you will have to tarp, melton seems to pay better then others. We tarp so much you will forget how much it sucks! It isn't bad here at all, heck you can fish at the terminal...for fish, do t wanna get caught fishing at the eye candy running around.
Tulsa orrientation isn't bad, you will think you know it all when you get on the trainers truck, but you don't! So sit back and listen. Flatbed is constantly a different scenerio. Imagine having a different girlfriend everyday, that's what flatbedn is like

hmm. its come down to prime, roehl, and melton. but i wanna run rgn or stepdeck for oversize and heavy at some point, and since ill be 21 and single ill stay out for weeks at a time possibly even months, me being in nc do they run west much? i'd hate to stay on the east coast for 2 months that would drive me bonkers
