I start orientation on the 13th. I drive out from North Carolina on the 12th. Should be a long but interesting drive. Very excited! Good luck :)

    #### Greyhound. we get into nashville tenn on time at 930 and was supposed to get on the 1145 bus to st louis but they double booked the bus and now i wont leave nashville till 230 supposedly and will miss my bus to tulsa and will have to wait in st louis from when ever we get there till 6 pm for the next bus to tulsa... NTM that bus wont get into tulsa till 230 AM monday, then i have to wait on the hotel to pick me up from the station, check in and by the time all that is done it will be time to go to the Melton terminal for orentation with no sleep since 230 am saturday as i cant sleep on these #### buses. I got half a mind to call TMC and have them pick me up where ever. i know its not meltons fault but #### what i would give for some sleep.

greyhound got us somewhat back on scheadule, and we got in tulsa last night at 7pm instead of our scheaduled 530pm time. first day of orientation is done now and the physical and drive test went well. so far as i can tell of the 4 of us in the truck i did the best driving and shifting wise but messed up on the backing because the guy didnt tell me i was supposed to offset back and i was the first one driving and didnt know exactly what we were doing. NTM the split tandem messed me up a little as im used to a closed tandem. But all in all a good day.

One of my friends from cdl school will also be there on the 13th and I am scheduled for orientation on the 20th. We are both really excited to be joining Melton. Others in our class applied, not everyone got an invite.

well one was sent home today. We started with 7, it was supposed to be 8 but one never showed up. I would assume he was sent home today because of his drug test and not his road test (although he kept stalling out the truck and popping the clutch). i say that because shortly after we came back in off of the road today he was called out of the room and then came back to get his stuff out of the classroom. after that charles said we were getting 100 dollars cash today as spending money as every one in the room passed the drug test. any way, the old T600 used for road tests and what not #### the bed today so we took out a T660 with 300000 miles on it. OMG that thing drives like a dream compared to the T600. Josh also taught us how to float if we were already doing well with smith system driving and double clutch shifting. only thing i need to work on is my downshifting while floating.

Shifting is cake. All about speed and rpm, I do it all by sound and feel and rarely ever look at the tach or speedometer since it can't break most speed limits in this country lol.
