    65. That's it! Until you hit 1,000,000 miles with Melton. Then it's 72 I believe.

Read The Federal Register. Trucks will all be set at 63-68 by 2015 anyway. JB, Covenant, and several other Railroad companies want regional trucking with the railroads hauling the freight, an imposibility due to capacity issues and the fact that the railroads fire 999 out of 1000 they hire.
Most of the rest quit due to the horrendous schedule, you are on call all the time, never rested and have a 2hr call time. My nephed works for CSX and says he won't go on the road, would rather do yard work as a conductor because he has kids. Melton is a good company I hear.

All of our trucks are 65. We haul into Canada and we have to be governed at 65 to enter the province's we haul to.

Will be joining Melton in December. Have close to a year flatbed experience. Better pay and benefits but I am concerned about home time. I typically stay out 18 days and then am home for 4 with the day you get home starting the clock. Is it realistic to think 14 days out and 2 home or 21 and 3 as the norm with Melton.

Melton is 1 off for 7 on. Minimum 2 weeks out depending on where you live. Out west and it's 3 weeks out.

I live in the mid Atlantic. Also how often do you get a load going past the house. Would be nice to stop, kiss the wife and leave in the am.

I live in the phoenix are and it does not happen much, I'd say I go by the house no more that once a month with a load. Sometimes I won't go by the house at all until home time. I don't go east of the big river much, but we do have a lot of freight on that side of the world.

If we're being honest, melton cannot and/or will not get me home on time. I'd say I'm 2+ days late 75% of the time. But that is only my personal experience. Many drivers I talk to say that they don't have a problem getting home.

I dont mind a day late unless I have something planned. Happens to me now. I don't expect to go past the house every trip but occasionally would be nice. I prefer to run the middle of the country like I do now. I counted the other day and I have been in 38 of the48 states excluding Alaska and Hawaii. I want nothing to do with California. Living in the Mid Atlantic I hope I don't go out there often.
