Since Melton outfits their trucks pretty well, what would be your 5 perchases to make the truck more like home? Not interested in pots pans burners, or sleeping bags etc. ... But more into technology items that you see as necessary or complementary to what is already provided.

    thanks in advance-

the microwave oven seems easy enough maybe a 700 or 800 watt.....unplug frig when using microwave?.....anyone familiar with the 1500 watt inv. ??? thanks

Ya'll will think I'm crazy, but I found one on Ebay for 80.00 bucks and I'm very glad I grabbed it. Saves me all kinds of hassles when I don't have time to find a place to stop.

I don't think your crazy for the copier!....these big companies wanna bill as fast as possible.....seeing as to how most big bus. pays bills 4 x a yr [[qtrly]] no room for mistakes or you wait 1/2 a yr to get paid for a haul....my last job we had to carry a laptop and printer in cargo vans.....with an electronic sign off pad [kinda like....but far more cumbersome than ups] so that the company I worked for could initiate billing before I left the facility!!!..
....I am really curious on a freezer fridg......I would like to keep frozen meats and foods I prep at home frozen so I can microwave....real....low salt....food I put together not the tv dinner people!!!....It does catch up to you after 10-20-30 yrs or so eating crap!...I find if you put in good stuff......you have less "issues" down the long road!!....so does anyone recommend a quality frig/freezer...to fit in KW t-660....with the 1500 watt inverter?....thanks!

I have a frig and microwave and never have a problem with the inverter. I also have a laptop and a charger or two running off a power strip. Would do a coffee maker, but haven't figured out the cleaning/grinding/storage issues. That and carrying water.

thanks Triletter, so....does your frig freeze stuff?.....and what kind is it?...model..microwave wattage?..hey no TV!!...?....I wouldn't expect to run everything at once and only the micro and frig would pull big watts so......all the toys are pretty easy on the inverter I imagine?....thanks

oh yaa almost forgot, the coffee....I am not a fan of those kuregs but maybe for fit....but I think a small $12dripper....and you can carry the small sugar bg, coffee creamer powder bag and grinds in one can.....a 3 week supply wouldn't take that much room?....and then the water......JMO .....but I think its more important than the diesel in the truck!!....so....a couple gallons 4 at all times....and Walmart /// or wherever you can get gallon jugs....whenever needed...that's like blood to me!!! I need to glug water!!!...surprisingly though. I never put it in the frig!!!!.....though cold water actually burns 128 calories per gallon just drinking it....I always keep a jug in the truck.....room temp is ok for me long as it aint warm!!!

150minipinpower, fridge is fridge only. Not in the truck until in the morning, so no brands. 1000 wt micro. Brewing is an issue, but just need to suck it up and do it. Storing for travel is an issue. Don't need residual H2O in/on things. Right now a thermos gives me what I need with the micro if I don't do a TS. I like playing Russian roulette, coffee wise. ; )

I understand the residual......I don't mind stopping a few times on a day shift I try to blast almost a full gallon before noon...to avoid the night issue!.....anywayyyy

SO does nobody you know go with a freezer.....I am not afraid of the roullete issue I worked in the Bronx for years, ordered and ate food I couldn't pronounce!!! and I never got sick ...immune system is fine.....the issue for me is control and addiction....I swear those food joints put something in the foods to make you .....crave it....and crave more!!!!..starts with a hamburger n fries in 3 months its a whopper super size fries and soda and why not the pie!!!...oh well!

Whole grain bread, humus, fresh fruit, good sliced cheese and yogurt. Breakfast and lunch. Cliff bars as a snack and whole grain chips for the humas and fresh salsa. Dinner is Hormel packaged microwave meal or Chef B in the micro wave able container, if I'm not too tired. Once a week I have a sit down meal. Nothing but water or coffee to drink. Works for me in the flat bed world.
