Just curious what the current drivers at Melton are averaging per week. I have seen as low as 1000 and as high as 4200 when I searched but those were a result of maintenance/hometime for the low side and the way the loads paid out during the pay period on the high side. Some of the other numbers I came up with were a few years old. I am looking at signing on with them and would like to be able to try and compare apples to apples so to speak.

    Thanks

Just ran my numbers and am avg 2543. I haven't been home since coming out in Jan. This is also the slow time. Pretty much in line with last year's overall avg.

    Hope that helps.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't melton up your cpm by 3 or 6 when you stay out for more than a month?

Theyll keep you around 2500-2800 miles if you're out for at least 2 months if out less they cut it by about half.

Company wide average miles per week.

I'd make a serious bet it's real close to 2000 miles.

    Good Luck !

Let me tell you about Melton. They hired me, even though I wrecked their truck with a trainer... in ice and snow. Yea, I was new. Hired at 39 cents a mile. Two months later was making 41 cents. Six months later... got an additional 2 cents coming in July and August. Wow. They pay + .08 for Over Dimensional loads, + .06 for Canada, and I think + .04 for HM. Experienced drivers make even more. The DM's are GREAT. Really. They talk to you with respect. They do not pressure you at all as long as you do what you are supposed to. Miles are good. Better if you stay out. 2500+ The lowest I've gotten was 1600. That was just the trucking industry, not Melton. I will make between 52 and $55,000 my first year with them. Not bad for someone that just started. They do not let you sit long. Unless they just can't help it. They will keep you busy if you let them. The are patient and understanding to new drivers. I would HIGHLY recommend Melton to anyone. They only have company drivers. Pull 48 and 53' flatbed trailers. Will train flatbed with 3 months OTR. Trucks are Kenworth 660 and 680's... very well maintained. Drivers are often praised by shippers and consignees. A sign drivers like their job. Makes me fell great working for a respected company. Yea...I'd recommend Melton. I really have not found anything bad after being with them 10 months now and climbing. Sad part is...I want to become an O/O and hate the idea of leaving such a good company. 2 thumbs up for this company.
