Does melton issue snap binders or do they make you use them stupid ratchet binders....if so do they care if you use your own snap binders instead of their ratchets i hate them thangs they take too long. drivers please inform.

Melton didn't use ratchets when I worked for them.

Once you get the hang of them they are easy to use.

You just have to make sure you have the ratchets all the way open and that you get all or as much of the slack as you can out of the chain. The only problem I have sometimes is the hook on the binder wanting to twist when I turn, but using my hand or the winch bar to hold it solves this problem.

Either one will do the job just fine. I have a combination of the two. I make sure and keep the ratchets good and clean and lube them if they get any rust on them or if rained on a bunch. You will get used to either real quick no matter who you work for. Check out their pay and hometime, etc. The binders are the least of your worries. good luck.

nah i aint worried about them like you said pay and hometime i was just curious i am leaning more towards TMC the only problem is i aint 23 until april...yea there is waterfalls behind my ears.......and they sai i would have to go through a refresher course when i come to them at 23 because of the gap between otr so i thought i would give melton a a whirl for a few months not only to see what they are like but also getting the exp. so none will be needed at
The Marine Corps.......with to much chrome
