Tireiron Mexico threatening trade retaliation

Mexico warns it will strike back if US sets trucker ban

Quote:
WASHINGTON 06 March 2009

Mexico is threatening tough trade retaliation if Congress and the Obama administration move ahead with proposals that would ban Mexican truckers from travelling throughout the United States, as spelled out in the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta).
The pending confrontation could prove to be contentious, fraught with even more potential peril than the recent "Buy America" flap over steel, according to trade sources in Washington.

Sources confirmed that Arturo Sarukhan, Mexico's ambassador to the United States, outlined his country's trade retaliation plans at a closed-door meeting with key Washington policymakers, including congressional staffers and lobbyists, at a Georgetown hotel this month.

To heck with Mexico, if we dont start taking CHARGE and getting things done America isnt gonna be here anymore.....let Mexican truck drivers drive in Mexico, look at all the American drivers waiting days to get a load, drivers that cant find work, drivers laid off etc...........people better wake up IF its not to late already!

Are they going to refuse to send their citizens across our border too?
Perhaps we should just kick them all out.
Mexico's #2 source of income: illegals working here, sending their money home.

With the economy in the tank all the illegals around my town cant find work because the ones working them are letting them go, in order to keep there American workers. So the illegals are going home.

Maybe just maybe if Mexico does do what they say then all the American companies that went down there wont be able to get there products in and out they will come home. LMAO that made me laugh, and I typed it out................But it could happen. I think I will hold my breath till it does, Everyone be ready to call 911 lol

I've said it before, but it seems like if we keep outsourcing our labor to messico, there will be an exodus of mexies sneaking BACK across the border for work!
What they've always needed was a revolution; kick out the military dictators and put in their own government so they can grow a middle class. Everyone is pretty much either rich or poor down there, according to my close sources.
(the ones who teach me spanish...) But I think, like Americans, they simply get complacent and let everyone else do the "work".

Anyone have any idea what the bill will be for American consumers and businesses in this Country? Tariffs add a bunch to the bill for us.
