Feds seize $2.4 million worth of pot at U.S.-Mexican border
Quote:
Border Patrol agents at Laredo, TX stopped six marijuana smuggling attempts over a recent weekend, June 5-7, including one tractor trailer from Mexico with nearly 3,000 pounds of pot.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, dogs detected either hidden contraband or people during an immigration inspection of a tractor-trailer entering the U.S. from Mexico on Friday, June 5.

Agents opened the trailer and found 63 large cellophane-wrapped bundles of marijuana inside five wooden shipping crates. The bundles totaled 2,961 of marijuana worth about $2.4 million on the street.

On Sunday, agents at the checkpoint stopped a tractor-trailer coming into the country with 325 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $260,560.

The only way they will catch them all. Every load would need to be inspected.
That might be the future of passing customs. If they can get drugs through, they can get just about anything through. And I'm not just speaking of drugs either.

Hmmm...I see an economic opportunity here...since congress is full of "potheads"....(who else would come up with this idiotic "stimulus package").... sell it to them and pay down our debt....plus....congress will get the "munchies" so they'll "stimulate" by going to the stores which are supplied by trucks...and so on...

See.....problem solved.....
