Milan Express

Anyone have any up to date information on Milan Express with regards to pay, miles, and hometime? There has never been a post in the company DAC reports about them. I did a search and only found post 18 months to two years old. Would like to hear more current information if anyone has info. Thanks!

Still looking for information on Milan Express? My husband recently started driving for them, and I'll be going out with a trainer next week.

What would you like to know? I'm undecided as to whether or not we'll be staying with them, as they are the lowest of all companies I've seen as far as their pay for teams. They just started running teams, actually are making it mandatory now, but there's no increase in pay from the solo drivers. So far, my husband has been getting decent miles (2000-2500) and home one day per week. I have an opinion on his driver manager's dispatching techniques, but I'd rather not say on here. It's kind of early to tell yet, since he's been solo for only a couple of weeks so far. I guess every manager is different too. I do know that their health insurance is rather pricey as well.

Update... I just went to orientation yesterday, and leaving out with my trainer early tomorrow morning. The hubby got over 3400 miles last week! We'll be switching DM's when we start team after I'm done training, and I've been told the DM for teams is awesome! Gets ya all the miles you want, as long as you're willing to run. Orientation was supposed to be 2 days, but got it all done yesterday. They had an excellent lunch, people were extremely friendly and even got a Milan baseball cap. lol Looks like thinks are gonna be A-OK. Can't wait to get out on the road!

Thank you!

First week was a doozie!! Ended up running into a major ice storm in KY and OH. Power was out everywhere, saw a rig completely flipped over on the highway and another jack-knifed in the median; cars in the ditches everywhere. Trees were getting weighed down with ice and falling onto the roads, knocking down power lines. Needless to say, I didn't drive that night. Had to reschedule for the next day, but got to spend some time with the hubby who just delivered in that area and was on his way back down to Memphis, but couldn't go any further either. Next week will be MUCH better. Leaving out early Sunday for TX.... shouldn't be any ice storms there!!

Sorry things went south with training. Hopefully you can get it finished somewhere else. It will get better for you. Just hang in there.
