Day 9 has come to a close. Spent the morning on the range doing our backing maneuvers and being tested on those maneuvers. The whole class passed the backing test and after lunch we all climbed in Truck 63 and went driving. I think the anticipation was worse then the actual driving. Some of the class got interstate and some were on 2 lane. I got the 2 lanes going out to the Millis drop yard (Miller Brewery). I was hoping for more drive time today, but the instructor told us that he would give us more tomorrow. Digging the driving....Good thing...lol Until tomorrow....

Gtown I read in here you spoke to your trainer already and making arrangements for your cdl test. Man is time flying down there or what? Good luck on those tests man. I'm just sitting up here trying to figure out away to burn 3 weeks so I can get in your shoes and start training myself.

I'm sure you'll pass everything and be on schedule with your trainer. I wish I could give u more advice but you no more than me. But wow things do move pretty quick down there (i say down there cause I'm up in Cleveland just in case your wondering). Now 1 week on the road do u mean like going out on the road delivering or just out there practicing.

Week 2 is over with and I'm sitting at home writing this. We started out the morning doing video and power point. After that we all headed out to the truck and pre-tripped it and then we took off on a 2 lane for most of the day. When it was my turn I got the interstate. Ran south on 75 to Dayton. Did pretty good on everything today. Still need some work on down shifting. Plus everyone in class passed their backing test. I have homework for this weekend and then next week the trainer is going to try and give us about 2 hours of driving per day. Hopefully by the end of the week I should be better at the down shifting part. Until next time....Have a good weekend!
