Just a quick question... Say your at a shipper/receiver, it takes 8 hours to get loaded/unloaded, could you just pull up and park and take a two hour break and that would count as your 10hr?

Way to go indianaEMT, I am excited for you! I trying to get everything sorted out so I can start in June when you do. How did you break your lease? I know my lease isn't up until December. I live in an apartment community and I don't have or think I have a landlord other than the lady in the leasing office that I signed my lease to. I would also like to get out of my lease to move my things into storage so I can save 500 a month from rent. Hopefully I will see you June 11th.

You would just have to go talk to her and tell her that you have an opportunity for a job out of state and would like to know if there is any way you could work with them to break your lease and help get it rented again. Keep us updated on how it goes, it would be cool if you could start with me. **Also ask them about subleasing your apt.

Also avj1987 if you go to the millis website and fill out the app, then give them a call in a day or two if you don't hear anything from them. Once they accept your application your approved for 6 months. This will get you in the door and you can then find out about your apt. You have to pay $100 to hold your spot in a class when you find out when you can come though.

First one Yes. My brother hauls reefers for Navajo and does that all the time.
Second one, probably not. If you've been on duty driving for 8 hours and the shipper/receiver is 2 hours away, but you decide to shut down early, your company might not appreciate that too much.
