    T2000 Bunk Heater

    When I got my 2010 T2000 issued to me today it had been sitting since about October 18th without being used so I wasn't surprised when I started her and the batteries seemed almost dead. I idled her the voltmeter went to 14 after a few minutes and all was good. Ow its 2 am and I'm posting this when I should be sleeping. I can't seem to get my bunk heater to operate properly. This is the heater with the dial and not the digital thermostat like the T700s. Can anyone give me a stupid prroof lesson on how to operate this thing before I freeze this winter? It is only getting down in the 30s at night now and my batteries are already dropping to 12 volts with just a car charger plugged in. I don't want to idle because I don't have too because if the heater was working id be comfy. Thank you!

    Make sure you are on flat ground and not leaning else it wont draw from pass. Tank. Mine works when it wants.

    Push the button on the upper left side, red light will come on. Make sure dial is turned up all the way. The heater will do nothing for a few minutes and maybe even blow some cold air for a bit, but once it kicks on be ready to be WARM! ! !

    Thanks guys. Same settings as the night before, flat ground both nights and its working fine tonight. I haven't had to get up but once and start the truck bc of the volts going low. Weitd. Thanks

    You should'nt have to start the truck to keep the bunk heater working. It should keep running even if the truck goes into the battery protection mode.
    The system is set up to draw very little current. If you noticed, once the bunk warms up the fan goes into a very slow speed. The air output temperature is very very hot ( like a hair dryer ) so the airflow (fan) can be minimized to conserve battery power.

    I have slept thru the night with the heater running and the battery shutdown mode kicked in during the night and truck starts right up in the morning.
