okay while i was otr i was making after taxes about 800-1000 bucks take home. now i make 400-500 and the occasional 700 when i run a saturday or sunday. so i would say that is almost exactly half. Unlike LB i work in the black hole of trenton. Its hard to get a load out of there. We dont get loads to take home and deliver on monday. I call monday to see if there is anything to do. i would say its 50/50 on getting a load out on monday morning. sometimes i dont get a load until after noon. sometimes i get something tuesday instead. I am lucky if i get 1700 to 1900 miles per week. and i run anything using all of my time unless some weird circumstances arise. I dont complain and i dont stop for anything unless it is fuel. i go to the bathroom when i get to my destination. so yes regions matter. from what i hear the south is where its at. i mean you should have seen us wednesday and thursday sitting around trenton. didnt leave trenton until after noon yesterday.

I heard that there were over 60 trucks in Eden over New Years. Some guys were waiting over three days for a load. One of my friends told me he got there Monday and they said he was #62 on the list.

Wow man! I didn't know miles were that bad in Trenton. In that case I guess half makes more sense.

LB you also have to take into account that i am low man on the totem pole right now. most of the guys said it will be slow till after february then it picks up again.

In GA we should start picking up in a week or two. I had a slow week but mostly because it was only a three day week. Drove 1300 miles but only about 1000 of that will go on this weeks pay. The other 300 is for Monday load and getting me home so it will count for next week. That's about normal over the holidays for me. Last week was a 1200 mile week (3 days). My goal every week is to hit that 2000 mark for the mileage bonus. Other than the holidays, I have to have a break down not to hit it on a normal week, even in the slow times. What surprised me was a slow down this past July. Wasn't expecting that.

That's the right attitude. It can always be worse.
