I'm just wondering how the CDL permit and CDL testing works at Millis. Nothing about it on their website. I've researched and researched trucking companies over the past several months. I could only find one negative comment about Millis. A buddy of mine has been a trucker for 14 years and he tells me that Millis is one of the most respected companies on the road. He also says that the training pay offered by Millis is tops. Does training pay start when you start classroom or when your start otr training?

no you have to provide for your own food not sure about the other schools but the hotel in cartersville had refrigeraters in the room and it was only 1/4 mile from the school so you could go back to the room to eat

Some people said they bought a cooler and went to the market on the weekend to reduce the cost. I think continental breakfast at the hotel.I will bring a soft sided cooler that I'll fill down there.

You need your permit. Air breaks, combo and general knowledge. If you have your cdl thats great it means you don't need to go back home to take your states road test. The hotel depends on where you go, In cartersville, Ga its Americas Best Inn and suites.

I drive for Millis and trained # Cartersville Ga, the Motel is with in walking distance from the terminal. I'm on the South East Region, and the name of the motel must have changed. My handle is TJ and I drive an 06 T2000, working # Millis is great. I can't complain about the $$.

Great to here from a happy driver. I'm scheduled to go there on march 3rd to cartersville ,Ga. I already have my cdl but welcome the additional training. Plus, I drove freight-liner & internationals so driving a KW should be fun. I hear the kw t2000 is roomy? how is the inside and sleeper area? How are your miles and home time?
