thanks Hopefully my info comes tommorrow. I am looking at going to school in january. Question for you millis drivers: whats the best way to take the pay non per diem or per diem? and hhg or practical? or does it all work out the same? Any input would be appreciated. Also is it real hard getting you shifting rhythm back? do i need to take everything i learned about shifting a manual car out the window? I havent driven a manual transmission in 4 years, I remember my biggest problem was getting goin in 1st but once i mastered that it was a piece of cake.

non perdiem unless you want the perks they offer for taking it. ![]() practical and hhg miles with the pay difference it will most likly come out the same I went with practical as would most experienced drivers. work smart not hard enjoy its truly one of the better carrier's but will it stay that way Hopefully it will

what are the perks of per diem and non per diem? Went to the post office this morning and my acceptance letter came WOOOOO HOOOOO! I'll let you know the date when I call to set it up later this afternoon. Thanks for all your positive comments and support! Last edited by bigpapa7272; 12.03.2007 at 09.53 AM.

Per diem, non per diem, depends on your finances. You should talk to an accountant that deals with trucking. Shifting a truck is not like shifting a car. It will take a little bit getting use to, but it's not hard to do. Mark

which is advisable. per diem only is ok if you arnt being charged for it is questionable if the company offers to only charge 1 cent off your normal pay thats a situation when you would need to talk to an accountant to weigh the pros and cons or do a search for kevin rutherford he has a site some where that will help to explain it |

I'm also looking into millis and I talked to them today. I'm waiting to see if i qualify for a grant/training from unemployment. If i qualify the will pay $3500 of the schooling and i'd pay $1200 here in Rhode Island. I'm talking with my family tonight about going to millis in jan/feb and paying myself.Atleast when your done training you have employment at $.32 cpm and that beats most stat out companies. Anyone else going to millis in jan or feb?If so what location?
