    Hello all -
I put in an application for millis transfer and it was denied noting better candidates had been chosen. Shame also because I was looking forward to getting into this industry amd starting with this company.

    Shake77 Thanks this.

Its not the end of the world sweety.Try another company.People get denied all the time and find even a better company.Theres no outstanding tickets on your mvr is there? What about job history anything there that would cause millis to disqualify you?

You shouldn't let one denial stop you from getting into the industry. I am pretty sure there's a few more companies out there. Good luck to you.

I got into a little trouble 13 years ago but have since gotten a college education and have been a network engineer since. However I got laid off in august so looking at a career change. But other than old record mvr is spotless and work history solid.

Though Millis is a great company, they can be a little particular about some things...and quite forgiving on others. One thing they will not bend on at all is a verifiable 5 year work history. They also will not allow recent DUI, and though there are a few other disqualifying factors, hiring area is another they are pretty particular about. Did you have any of those issues?

I have a record from when I was 19 but that was 13 years ago. No dui or mvr infractions ever.

I hope you are over it, Move on, you just have to, Just look at it this way, They missed out on you, not you on them, With the stable work History and all of that you should be fine. Just keep kicking in doors and see who will take you, once you find someone stay there a while!. Thanks.

Start applying to many companies. In fact go to the websites that have one application to fill out which then goes to many companies. You'll get calls and emails then they'll want you to fill out their application. But don't just fill out one specific application and wait for the call because you may be waiting along time.
