Greenco Beverage in Greenville SC Sucks. 4,5 and 6 hour wait. Mainly because of the lazy forklift driver. As soon as you walk in and hand him your paperwork he starts whining about how crowded the warehouse is and cries about the forklift work he has to do. Doesn't the lazy guy realize that's his job(a forklift driver). Why in the heck does he even come to work. I guess he wants a desk job there. But he knows he isn't intelligent enough to work in the office. What I hate about it is you cant make your next dispatch because when you leave there you have to start hunting a truckstop in route to go into sleeper berth. I just quit working for Millis because of accounts like that. The last time I went there, there were no trucks there. I was able to back right in the dock. It was 4 hours before the trailer started shaking which told me he is finally unloading me.

I hate unloading at Walmart DCs. They make you write a ComChek to get unloaded and then take their sweet time to actual remove any product. Drop and Hooks at Walmart DCs are fine, though. I love Menards DCs because they always have their ducks in a row and even have the driver's lounges... but the Menards stores are a great way to burn up your 14.

One more gripe and I'll give it a rest. I'm not 100% sure but I would think that Millis Transfer dispatchers would keep track of your available on duty and drive time before dispatching you on a load with a specific delivery date and time. If you have 3 hours drive time and 4 hours on duty time left on your 14 hour clock. Why would they send you load info from Asheboro NC (which might take an hour to get there) then time to get loaded. And your final stop (destination) is Saint Louis MO. And the delivery time is by midnight that same day. Well, after getting loaded at Asheboro I'm pretty much hunting a truckstop to take my 10 hour sleeper berth time. I don't know why I let it bother me me but sometimes on loads like this they might wait a couple hours and send me a message asking my ETA on St. Louis. Makes me want to say get out your calculator. Maybe its because I hauled US Mail for 25 years and that's the big thing with mail. Be on time, all the time. I cant stand to be late. But an ETA with these freight companies is hard to calculate. It would be simple if no trucks or cars were out on the interstate.

Okay, I take it back. My absolute least favorite place is Case Paper in Philadelphia. You have to park on the street and go in to check in (and you best make sure you lock the doors on the truck, this is a bad area). Once they give you a dock assignment, you have to go INSIDE the warehouse. There is barely enough space in there to maneuver, and if you get a dock on the right hand side, you'd better hope there isn't another truck on that side too because it is impossible to turn the truck around if there is.
