How much is the tank capacity? 1 tank 2 tanks? what do you have? They all are different aren't they? I may be wrong this truck may only have one configuration I don't know. You see what I prefer right?
-
2 tanks pretty sure 100 gal. A piece.

I was in a t660 for awhile and half tanks I would get 4-450 on a half tank. There was just a recall issue with the fuel gauge in our 660's so maybe your gauge is off?
-
Wow, I'd have that looked at. I had a 2012 587 pete with twin 120's. I would get between 200 to 450/475 on a quarter tank (This was also based on what conditions were out there at the time). I will admit that I got better econ with a hole in the exhaust system then when they fixed.

My T700 is off some...I was told that I have 1000 mile range with two 100 gallon tanks. I use my trip meter for fuel stops and dont worry so much about the gauge anymore

Ya I think gauge or sending unit is messed up. Just filled up and it took 68 gal. LOL.

Thanks. That's kinda what i figured but better safe than sorry.

Haven't gotten into my T700 yet - still in shop getting old stuff fixed on it, but it has 100 gal tanks like the new Cascadia I just got out of.
I always figured 20 gal unusable per tank (just to be safe and avoid being MT on side of the road). And sure enough, that gauge registered right about 40 gal per quarter tank when I filled up while I had it. Range of course varied with the weight of load, and angle of the hills I had to go through. The reason I picked 20 gal, was because of what the fuel does in tanks going thru the hills. Point the truck up or down and the fuel will to to the low end, and SOME of that will NOT be available like it would on level pavement.
Oh, did I mention, that I was trained to use, but NEVER TRUST the fuel gauge? Yep, they lie to you. First solo accessory I ever bought was my tire gauge. 2nd was my tank dip stick. Don't really use the stick any more, but I DO still keep close eye on the gauge and mileage I have done to make sure they match what I expect em to do. -
I just top off every night and don't have to worry about it. Get my shower credit and always have plenty of fuel in the truck. Only time I will go a night without fueling is if I know for sure I haven't used enough to hit 50 gal at the pump.
